Unit 6 · Grammarser or estar?
Spanish has two verbs for to be, and choosing wrongly changes the meaning.
ser — what something is: origin, identity, permanent quality. Soy egipcio.
estar — where or how something is right now: place, state, mood. Estoy en la plaza.
Es alto — he is tall, always.
Está enfermo — he is ill, today.

Does the trial need a card?
No. You sign up with a username and password and get 7 days free, with your card on file and nothing charged until day eight.
What exactly does the trial open?
All of level A1 in either course, with spaced review, dialogues, quizzes, the glossary, the grammar reference and the sound pairs. Levels A2 to C1, offline use and certificates open with a subscription.
And when the week ends?
Content locks and your progress is not erased. Everything you finished stays on your board and reopens the moment you subscribe.
What differs between the two plans?
The features are identical. What differs is the term, the number of live-class seats, and the monthly rate: the longer the term, the lower the month.
Is the content complete today?
Yes. Both courses run the full ladder, A1 to C1: 96 units and 720 lessons. What is still being built is the media — recorded audio and the illustrated scenes.
Do I need an app?
No. The site runs in the browser on phone and desktop with the same account, and your progress travels with you.
Can I switch the site language?
Yes — English and Spanish, from the switcher in the header or your profile. Word meanings follow the language you choose.
How is my progress measured?
A word counts as mastered only after it survives three spaced reviews — not after you see it once. Your level is the highest one whose previous exam you passed.
Which currencies can I pay in?
Dollars, euros or pounds, by card. The price shown follows your region, and you can switch it yourself at any time.
